"That was the last song we wrote. We had the music for a whole year, and I loved it. I think it's beautiful. While in the studio, Pat [Leonard] and I were talking about a situation I'd been dealing with, about this friend of mine who was having a very difficult time and wanted to end her life. Pat came up to me with a photo of myself by the piano and wrote a caption underneath that read: 'Have A Nice Day with your Stoli and Gillette' (Stolichnaya vodka and Gillette razor blades). That phrase hit me right away, and I used it in this song. It's called ' Angillette' 'cause I obviously couldn't mention her real name. I tried to make her realize that we all make mistakes. No matter how much I tried to help her in that situation, there wasn't anything else I could do. I had given it everything I had, maybe more. I eventually played her the finished song and she went: 'Is this how it really was? and I said :'Yes, that's how it was.' It actually helped her."
