Photograph Smile: Day After Day

About the Song.....
"Day After Day," the first track from Photograph Smile, was released as the first single on 11 May 1998 in Europe. The song was also featured in the opening credits of the 1998 movie "Music From Another Room." Julian was asked permission to use the song in the film and ended up naming his record company after the film's title. "Day After Day" can also be found on a CD sampler used for promotion in the United States and the video appears on some of the I Don't Wanna Know Singles. Incidentally, Julian's 1991 hit "Saltwater" was also co-written with Mark Spiro.

Many of Julian's songs draw on his own experiences. In particular, Julian says this song draws on his longest relationship. "We were together four years. I thought I was going to settle down and get married but then the promo tour hell for the last album took me away for over a year and it destroyed us. And I can tell you, if and when I fall in love again, never again shall I let career over-rule love." -Julian Lennon on "Day After Day"
